Their food is really good. They are clean but if you are in a big group service isn't always great.

Been here twice, really nothing bad to say about it. LOCATION: in the king kullen/CVS shopping center in center moriches. DECOR: typical sushi/habachi restaurant, dim lighting, dark walls, upscale feel. FOOD: had habachi both times I came here and it was delicious. The timing is good, they don't rush the dinner but also don't take too long either. Chefs do the usual tricks and such. Pricing was reasonable and portion sizes were good. SERVICE: quick and efficient, no complaints. The place gets pretty busy at dinner time on the weekends. But both times I came on a Saturday around 5pm and 7pm, and I was able to do habachi dinner without much of a wait at all which was great. I will definitely return.

The place is AMAZING. First of all, the prices are really good, especially the soup and speciality rolls. There are so many rolls I've ordered from here (in the restaurant and for pickup). The egg drop soup, lobster soup, clear soup, and miso soup are all good (my favorite is the egg drop from here and I get it every time). The Kani salad is always in my order, and the avocado salad and seaweed salad are also good but I only got those once. Shumai is also always a staple I get every time. Edamame, any of the tempuras, the Indian roll are also good appetizers. The age tofu was good but very sweet and more like a dessert. As for rolls.... The regular rolls are ok, but the speciality rolls are amazing. I haven't had one I didn't like. So far, these are the ones I've tried: dragon, paradise, Sakura, cracked lobster, angel, ocean rainbow, Godzilla, pink lady, angry dragon, sexy girl, lover 16, mikado king, River monster, green river, center moriches, crazy dragon, out of control. The sashimi is also good. If you want to try it out, I recommend going for their lunch special which isn't expensive and filling. I only have one picture from when I ordered from here because every other time I start eating immediately. 10/10.

This was my first time at Mikado and I thought it was very good. We had the shrimp tempura appetizer which was tasty. Lightly battered and cooked nicely with a sweet sauce. I'm not sure how authentic it is but it was very yummy. I was torn between two specialty rolls and wound up with the "Volcano", which was a roll lightly battered and then deep fried. It was also served with a small bit of crab salad which was nice to balance the heat from the jalapeño. The jalapeño was actually not very spicy at all and added a nice freshness and crunch. Overall, I would say it was a very nice experience. The staff was pleasant and the rolls came out reasonably fast. They do have a nice lunch special which is what my dining partner had and she was very happy with the salad, miso soup and two small rolls. Was it the best sushi I've ever had? No, but it was perfectly fine and I would come back again. And it's satisfied my hankering for sushi.
